2010 Chrysler Town & Country
Mileage164,517Service Date8/28/2024Services Performed- Test drive and confirm poor run. Scan test and receive codes P2181 cooling system performance malfunction. P0406 EGR position sensor circuit too high. P0108 MAP sensor circuit too high. Check and found the MAP sensor was not connected correctly, unplug and reconnect code cleared Check EGR system circuit and found high voltage causing the EGR valve to open constantly resulting in the poor run. Remove upper intake to check wiring and found excessive corrison in the EGR circuit connector. Clean corrosion, install intake, clear code and test drive, engine runs normal. Check cooling system overheat and temperature sensor always rear full hot. Remove coolant temp sensor and found coolant intrusion in the wiring harness. Replace coolant temperature sensor and wiring connector due to coolant in the connector and wiring. NOTE we have to assume the corrosion in the EGR wiring is from the coolant sensor. Check overheat and found the thermostat was install upside down with the bleeder down and not up. Replace thermostat fill cooling system. Also found the coolant expansion tank was over filled and the engine / radiator was low due to a faulty radiator cap not transferring coolant to and from the expansion tank. Test drive and confirm engine runs perfect, no engine light or pending codes, the temperature gauge works correctly, and the engine no longer overheats. Perform chemical hydro carbon cooling system test. Found NO hydro carbons in the cooling system.

- Remove and replace the transmission. Flush all transmission lines and cooler. Top off transmission fluid. Program as necessary.

- Remove front differential. Drain engine oil. Remove oil pan. Remove timing cover and chain. Remove and replace the oil pump. Install new chain and tensioner. Replace oil pan gaskets. Re install oil pan. Re install front differential. Top off all fluid as necessary.

2008 Lincoln Navigator

Using a scanner we bleed the abs pump to make sure there was no air in system. Manually bleed hydraulic brake system at each wheel and fill as needed. No problems found.
